Registration

A school coordinator can begin through the Register School option on the BAIO website. The school registration module is managed separately from this public website.

Yes. Students in Classes 3-12 can use Student Registration, while schools can register and coordinate participation through School Registration.

BAIO is designed for students in Classes 3-12.

Use the relevant registration route and provide the requested student or school details.

Fees, if applicable, will be confirmed only through an official BAIO notification.

Exam Format

Round 1 is an online, MCQ-based AI Literacy Test. Round 2 is a supervised, hands-on AI Challenge for the top 20% of Round 1 students.

Every registered student takes Round 1.

The top 20% of Round 1 students progress to the supervised practical AI challenge.

No. Round 1 focuses on AI literacy, reasoning and responsible technology use.

The final schedule will be shared through an official BAIO announcement.

Syllabus & Preparation

Round 1 assesses computational thinking, AI concepts, everyday AI, digital citizenship, and innovation skills.

Round 1 is 60 minutes for every grade band.

Grades 3-5 answer 35 MCQs for 40 marks.

Grades 6-8 answer 45 MCQs for 50 marks.

Grades 9-12 answer 50 MCQs for 60 marks.

Results & Certificates

Every student who appears for Round 1 receives a personalised AI Performance Report and a QR-code verified digital certificate.

Students complete a supervised, hands-on challenge using a safe AI assistant.
