BAIO (Bharat AI Olympiad) is India's first national AI Olympiad for students in Classes 3–12, aligned with NEP 2020 and the CTAI Framework.

Any student in Classes 3–12, from , ICSE, State Board, or International Board schools operating in India. Students can register individually or through a partner school — no institutional code required.

No. BAIO tests AI thinking and computational reasoning, not programming ability.

BAIO has two rounds. Round 1 is an online, proctored MCQ test open to every registered student. Round 2 is an offline, supervised Real-World AI Challenge, where the top 20% of Round 1 use a safe, fully controlled AI assistant to solve practical problems.

Every student who appears for Round 1 receives a Personalised AI Performance Report and a verified digital certificate — regardless of final rank.

Registration is done directly on the BAIO website. Students receive instant dashboard access after registering, along with the full preparation resource kit.

Admit cards are sent 5–7 days before the examination, via Email and WhatsApp.

Round 1 uses secure online proctoring. Round 2 is conducted under direct, in-person supervision at the exam venue.

No. Schools pay nothing to partner with BAIO. Registration is charged per student directly to the student/parent.

The School Ambassador is a faculty coordinator who acts as the school's single point of contact for BAIO — leading AI-literacy engagement all year, not just on exam day, with full training and resource support from the BAIO team.
